It was the day after, Alyssa was nervous about going to school. Would she make friends with Jem and his group? Or would someone spread rumours about her so people hate her even more? She grabbed her bag and slid it over her shoulder. "Guess I'll just have to find out," she whispered. "What was that sweetie?" Alyssa's mom asked, her brown hair tied up in a small bun. "N-nothing," she stuttered. Her mom smiled, "Okay, hurry then! The bus is almost here." Alyssa nodded and left the house.
